Make Work Fun

Let’s face it.  Not everyone has the luxury of doing what they love for a living to make work fun.  Finding things that break up the mundane day-to-day process of your job, no matter how small can bring a smile to your face.  Weather you work in an open office floor plan, a tiny cubicle in solitude, or in a home office alone, a little fun distraction is always helpful.
  • Photos - Place a favorite photo or painting in your work space that reminds you of a fun vacation or family and friends that make you laugh.
  • Trivia - A morning trivia question about your favorite TV shows or movies that can then be discussed over lunch to stay connected with coworkers.
  • Music - Always great for background ambiance.  Soft music in the office or a personal music player can break up the day.
Always remember to keep everything appropriate to the environment in your work area and light enough so it does not distract.
